Setup Overview

You can use MailMum with any system that supports RBL (Real-time Blackhole List). This can bei mail servers like Postfix, Exim or SendMail. We support many more. Another way is to use MailMum with Spam Filter like Rspamd, and SpamAssassin. We will show you how to setup MailMum with these systems.

This Overview of the MailMum Project

The project is designed to be used with mail servers like:

• Postfix
• Exim
• SendMail

The preferred way to use MailMum is through Rspamd or SpamAssassin as you have more options to use MailMum as Monitoring System or increase score of spam for given IP addresses. Check how to setup with:

• Rspamd
• SpamAssassin

If you are using a different mail server, you can still use MailMum by using the RBL (Real-time Blackhole List) feature of your mail server. Please contact us for your preferred mail server. We will be happy to help you and add it to our documentation.
